Essential Advice As You Begin Your ASD Parenting Journey
This experience of living with autism from the mother’s perspective has given me the opportunity to reflect on what I want to pay forward to other moms who are beginning their own personal autism journeys as a mother guide. I am going to condense my essential advice each week for the next 10 weeks.

Self-Discovery Sunday
Oprah’s show Super Soul Sunday was the beginning of this practice. I worked very hard at filling myself up with inspiration before the work week began. This was the beginning of a new career, deep healing, and eventually a writing practice that led to becoming an author.

The days following hearing the words “Joseph is autistic,” were some of my darkest days. I was living with the deepest pain I had felt in my 32 years of life. It was my first life tsunami. I didn’t know the way out to find the light. It felt like instantly being lost and not knowing which way to go.
